High Academic Prospects: 2020

Naysean Baisy, 2020: The Seattle product is a defensive catalyst at 6-foot-3 and with a significant wingspan, often disrupting passes and leading the break on transition leakouts.

He brings toughness and awareness and the necessary intangibles translatable to winning.

Baisy, who enters his postgraduate year at Scotland Campus unsung and largely unheard of, has drawn interest from several programs as an intriguing later bloomer.

He's got a dependable outside shot and a crafty ability to finish through traffic and on the break. He currently possesses a 3.4 GPA.

Getting Baisy from the regal basketball recruiting grounds which have produced the likes of Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, and Brandon Roy was a recruiting coup for Knights assistant coach and player development ace Blake Kingsley.

Jack Ramsey, 2020: The strong 6-foot-5 g/f has a true dog in him, an attribute that has been discovered throughout the preseason.

Being that he's left handed, being that he can stick pull up jumpers as well as outside shots, he's got the potential to play a multi-faceted role as an undersized rebounder who can finish above the rim and also front bigger players in the post.

He's also a low maintenance prospect, thankfully not another ego maniac who gets too enamored with the flawed "Division-I or bust" mentality.

With his strength and athleticism and ability to play at the changing of the speeds, Ramsey has the ability to really thrive at a high academic Division-II or D-III.

Academics, of course, will be the be all and end all surrounding his decision. As of today, he's good enough to play at the Ivy or Patriot League level. He's shown flashes of sneaky athleticism and reverse dunks capable of electrifying a gym.

With his size, however, he would really emerge as a steal at a high academic Division-II.

David Perez, 2020: The 6-foot-2 Riviera Prep  (FL) guard is a freakish athletic talent.

Known for his dazzling displays of athleticism and ability to finish around and above the rim with ease, he was a consistent 18-20 point scorer for Colin Campbell and Miami Triple threat this summer.

He's a national honor society student, boasting a 4.0. Perez, who can facilitate and manufacture offense (having tuned up his outside shot), has garnered interest from Colombia and several other noteworthy high academic programs.

Fernando Caballero, 2020: The Puerto Rico native has savored the leadership role for the first year program, orchestrating the high low attack and proving he can hit big, momentum bolstering three-pointers with consistency.

With his bullish 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame, the combo guard is a real chore to get around.

He's able to ward off defensive pressure with stepbacks and hard, thorough surges to the rim.

His recent play earned interest from Union University.

Given the scoring skill set within him and his readiness and IQ, Caballero has the opportunity to make a seamless transition in college.

His 3.5 GPA and 1200 SAT score is definitely attractive to Ivy Leagues and Patriots, where he can eventually become a lead guard with innate leadership qualities.

He's already been accepted into a number of major universities. He will use his post graduate season to further his scholarship opportunities.

With his 3-point range and efficiency  (he shot a scalding 55 percent from beyond the arc last season), Caballero has the opportunity to emerge into a real sleeper who programs are soon chomping at the bid to recruit.

Mohammed Wague, 2020: The 6-foot-9 forward from Mali, Africa speaks three languages fluently and currently owns a 3.6 GPA. With his versatility in handling the ball, knocking back the short range jumper and materializing as a reliable piece in the pick and pop game, the former FDA star is a Swiss army knife caliber talent.

While he still needs to pack some muscle onto a spindly 185-pound frame, Wague is an interior finisher who can dunk it with regularity and score around the rim with either hand.

Stephan Dieujuste, 2020: The 6-foot-2 Central Point Christian Academy guard has shown promise this preseason.

He's established himself as a crafty scorer, one with fluid left handed jumper. He's equally savvy with creating his own shot and can beat defenders in one on one game.

The Florida native has displayed good elevation on his jumper, an ambidextrous passing arsenal and above the rim finishing ability. Palm Bay product currently holds a 3.0 GPA and is taking college courses to garner credits before he turns collegiate.
