Jabarie Hinds: A Knight To Remember

Jabarie Hinds: A Knight To Remember

The latest product of Money Earnin’ Mount Vernon–Westchester County’s rich hoops real estate–is blink-quick 5-11 guard Jabarie Hinds.

After cooking cats to the recipe of 37 points per during Bob Gibbons AAU tournament in North Carolina this summer, Hinds has embraced the high-volume scorer within him.

After playing Pippen to Sherrod Wright’s Jordan last season, Hinds rectified his stroke and extended his jumper.

At the IS8 Fall Tip-Off, Hinds carved up defenses and displayed his prodigious vertical leap.

The silky southpaw dropped 22 points in the consolation game–two coming on a violent one-handed banger– hitting the game-winning floater in New York City’s supreme grassroots proving ground.

It was likely a portent of what’s to come at Ben Gordon’s alma mater this season.

Hinds realizes he’ll now take some ownership of the Knights.

The 29 points Jabarie hung on Lincoln-Yonkers in three quarters–along with his 25 PPG–speak to this.

Don’t hit the pillow on Hinds, who’s the most promising prospect out of the 914’s Division-I launchpad in recent memory.
