Here's a small piece of recruiting info for the collection of recruitment gurus/college sports geeks (myself not excluded from this group so don't get up in your feelings anyone, please) to check out, shall it meet your fancy. Here's some updated "insider" info from some Philly-bred ballers, as Halloween nears...
Juanya Green, a ghastly 6-foot-3 combo guard at Archbishop Carroll (PA) HS, is receiving plenty of Big East love.
Green's currently sifting through a stack of letters. He's receiving the most interest from Villanova, Georgetown, Syracuse, Providence, Maryland, St. Joe’s, and Temple.
“That’s all I can think of right now,” said the Class of 2011 guard, rattling off his current list of potential Division-I hardwood homes.
The undecided guard said he envisions a four-year stay somewhere in the Big East, a conference consistently over saturated with playmaking guards. He’s horror-house scary when he catches fire.
The tier of interest is picking up rapidly for David Appolon, a junior guard at Imhotep Charter.
The Philly-bred baller is receiving interest from Marquette, Temple, Penn State, and Charlotte.
A slew of schools--Marist, Delaware, and George Washington--to name a few have offered the young gun.
Imhotep coach Andre Noble has the class of 2011 prospect pegged as a combination guard.
“Picture him as a two-guard, he can play off the ball,” said Noble. “But he also operates offense.” Rutgers is also making a push for Appolon, according to Noble.
Maurice Harkless, a dazzling 6-foot-7 forward at Forest Hills high school, is weighing his options.
UConn, West Virginia, St. John’s, and Virginia Tech have all been in active pursuit of the spindly junior. He’s capable of stuffing the shit out of the scorebook and BEASTING other teams like he's TEENWOLF. Imagine that this Halloween. Forest Hills could move up the NYC hoops totem poll this winter.
